first six species listed were working Peachleaf Willows and an uncommon
native Hawthorn tree right by the small woooden bridge on the trail that
heads south through the forest/shrubs. At one point point the small
Hawthorn had four or five species working it. Pretty cool.

There was a singing Plumbeous Vireo in the cottonwoods just west of where
the only trail in Cattail Chorus stops. This trail is accessed from the
Poudre River recreational trail.

I was just able to locate one male foraging in the exposed grass strips right
next to the trail. This bird is on the Poudre river bike trail about 75-100
yards south (downstream) of the Timberline rd. bridge that crosses the Poudre.

Several large flocks of B. Waxwings hanging out around old bridge that crosses
over the river to McMurry Natural Area. Eastern Screech Owl calling south of
paved trail near bridge. Took video of the owl. Pretty cool.

Two co-workers of mine observed an adult R.H. woodpecker in the
Mahoney Park area of Bobcat Ridge Natural Area, which is a high
elevation burn area. Burn is approx. a decade old.

Singing Sage Thrasher yesterday morning near the NW corner of Trilby
and Taft, singing from the landfill property. Also, several Cassin's
Sparrows were singing in the drainage south of where Triby turns into
a dirt road. Nice large rabbitbrush and four-winged saltbush in this
drainage.
Second male and female observed this morning in fallow ag. field.
Pretty exciting.

Bobolink observed today in a fallow ag. field at Pineridge Natural
Area. Unfortunately, this portion of the property is closed to the
public. This is the same spot I observed an individual last year.

Beautiful male singing at the tops of the trees where the bridge from
the Poudre river bike trail crosses to McMurry Natural Area. Got a
few nice photographs. Watched the for about half an hour and then the
bird flew NE.
