Fellow Colorado Birders:
I saw the Yellow-billed Loon on the north shore of Lake Pueblo State Park,
just east of the north marina, at approximately 13:20, 1 February.
No photos.

Then, eventually, it will be, "Where have all the humans gone?"

Hallelulah!
I've been listening to these multiple song types since we moved here in
2018.

with the naked eye, I cannot add other
diagnostic features to this sighting, other than to say that we have many
cliffs in the area that are suitable for nesting raptors.
I will continue to look out for this particular species.
Anyone who wishes to bird in our area is welcome.

chance to have something to eat.
Now, today, we have direct evidence of sadness: a Western Tanager is at our
bedroom door, in *rigor mortis*. There is nothing we can do about it.

All,
I asked to join COBirds to make a late posting.
Last Friday AM, just prior to a departure for the weekend, a male
Rose-breasted Grosbeak appeared at our feeder, briefly, seen by my wife and
me.
We are at 7800 feet, 7 miles south of La Veta, on Raspberry Mountain.
