Hello Colorado Friends,

I made the 3 hour trek out to Baca County yesterday, Saturday 2/13. It hit 
78 degrees and the wind was quite calm most of the day... incredible! The 
biggest shock of the day was encountering a stub-tailed wren 
(Pacific/Winter) at the Carizzo Canyon Picnic Area. I put a few of the 
details on eBird and you can see the checklist at

Other birds of note from Cottonwood Canyon, at least per eBird filters, 
were the hen Wood Duck and the flyover Sandhill Cranes. The number of Sage 
Thrashers in the area, in reality, probably reached 10 by the end of the 
day.
