I agree with Tony. Juvenile Sabine’s certainly show a strong pattern in
flight. Striking white, brown, and black. Much better description than an “M”
pattern.

I went over to Prince Lake #2 to look for the American Golden Plovers. There
were two of them. There was also a 1st cycle Mew Gull, lounging with the 125 or
so Ring-billed Gulls.

Congratulations on a truly amazing find! As far as I know, all previous
records for this vagrant from the Atlantic slope of the Sierra Madre Oriental
in eastern Mexico are restricted to South Texas (except for one individual from
the legendary Melrose trap in New Mexico).

Amazingly, I just had a stub-tailed wren in my front yard in Niwot that
startled me when I opened my front door to look for the paper! It then flew
into a mass of brambles along the side of my house. I'm leaning towards a
Winter Wren based on a chip note I heard two minutes later that sounded like
Leon’s report on the increase of Calliope Hummingbirds is reflected at my yard
in Niwot. Fifteen minutes ago there were four Calliopes at my flowers in the
front yard and two more at feeders in the back yard. It’s been this way for
the last two weeks.

The Parasitic Jaeger was still at Jackson Lake at 1:00 PM today; flying
frequently and hassling Ring-billed Gulls.
