Observed eating a freshly caught rabbit the morning of Sunday, January 4th from
the NW facing front door at 7101 W Yale Avenue, Denver 80227. Note from
friend:
This morning when I came downstairs, I noticed this
flurry of feathers about 6 feet from my front door! The hawk had just
- at least half a dozen pairs
Buffleheads - 5 pairs
Northern Shovelers - at least a dozen pairs
Canada Geese pairs
Mallard pairs
Coot
Killdeer
Great-tailed Grackle
Red-winged Blackbird
American Goldfinch

The master birding class saw a Pacific Loon in the middle of the lake and we
visualized from east of the prairie loop along the nature trail. we also saw a
Neotropic Cormorant and Horned Grebe on our trip.
