I'm new to the Colorado area and didn't realize that Golden-Crowned Kinglets were not very common at Barr Lake SP. I saw one and possibly heard another near mile marker 8 on the trail around the lake this morning at about 9 AM. Looking at eBird records, the last time one was reported at Barr Lake SP was two years ago, and there were only two other sightings of Golden-Crowned Kinglets in the last ten years.
