While birding the Arsenal, several large flocks landed on Lake Ladora.
While glassing the birds for neck bands and hybrids I found a Greater
White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) among the 500-600 Canada Geese.
I had my digi-scoping outfit and was able to get a decent picture of

I went out to Red Rocks around 4:00 pm to see if the Peregrine Falcons
have come back. Low and behold to my surprise there was a Peregrine
perched behind the amphitheater, 10 feet from where last year's Eyrie
was. After watching for a few minutes the Peregrine flew off and
landed on top of the

I saw the a Ross's goose on the south lake today. I thought I finally
had something cool to post and knew that if anyone had beat me to it,
you and your husband would have. Well done ;-) Tell your husband hello

I returned to Washington park's south lake on Thursday morning to re-
count the migrant ducks. The count below does not include Mallards,
Canada Geese, or the female Common Merganser who resides on the lake.
