I’ve been a birder for 50+ years. I’m unproud to say my skills have not really
advanced much in those years. I have no audio capabilities (too many voices in
my head I think…) I haven’t added to my life list in a while and 90% of my
lists were completed in an ornithology course in college and
I saw a bobolink fly across the bike path last night 5:50 PM roughly in
Chatfield State Park. I was riding the bike path next to C-470, going West
near the large washout area, riding up and over the dam, when one flew
across the bike path right in front of me. I did not see a pair and since I

Are the tamarisks all dead or just individual trees?
If they are all dead in large groups along the river, then it is the
beetle. A predatory beetle was brought in to eliminate the Tamarisks. It
was tested for more than 10 years to see if it was going to be an
