You're right - the feathers do look wet/ruffled. It could also be oil. Good point, Dave. Joe Kipper Fort Collins On Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 3:29:10 PM UTC-7, Mark Obmascik wrote: > > Sibley says oilfield waste pits kill up to 2 million birds a year: > >

Hello Gary, If you look closely at the face of the goose in your photos (especially the photo where the goose is facing sideways), you can see the outline of the "cheek patch" that occurs on Canada and Cackling geese. On an ordinary cackling goose, that patch would be white; on this goose it

Gyrfalcon was perched on Trilby Rd. west of Taft Hill for quite some time this afternoon and I'm expecting it will be hanging around for a little while, hopefully long enough for Loveland CBC on Jan. 1st. Just before 2:00 it flew off to the south. Got several photos. [image:

Natalie, I think that your best bet would be to walk along that row of juniper trees that runs along the south side of CR60, just west of the parking area. If you walk through those trees you might flush them. Good luck! On Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:54:09 AM UTC-7, Natalie P. wrote: > >
