Went out birding this morning to do some photographing. The Flickers
were going crazy in the woods with drumming and kekking! Actually,
the birds were all making alot of noise in hopes of spring's arrival.
At the bridge between the two ponds we found a Marsh Wren missing it's
tail moving around
After the rain and clouds cleared off, I had several species visit my
yard eating various bugs. The highlights are 3 Yellow-rumped Warblers
(2 males and 1 female), White-winged Dove, White-crowned Sparrow,
Chipping Sparrow and a Brewer's Sparrow! It was a nice lunchtime
birding.

Thanks to Kara's great directions, Patrick Shaffner & I saw the Yellow-
crowned Night-heron at the pond at 10am. It flew down from a tree but
was in plain site against the cattails! A few other people were
heading down to see the bird as we were leaving. We also saw a Blue
Teal pair and several
I had a Chihuahuan Raven calling in a tree across the street from my
house for about 30 minutes this afternoon before it flew away. It was
pulling some bark off the tree and from my scope view, it had some
wing feather sheaths showing.
