To follow up, looks like there were 8 surf scoters and a common loon on the
reservoir this morning.

group of 3 you were probably looking at. Theres a loon on the north side of the
res as well

Im looking at three scoters right now on baseline res. Im scoping from the dry
creek trailhead on the SE side of reservoir. Its pretty foggy still so im
trying to decide between the species above and my spotting scope isnt very
powerful
