First, Nunn yard: Green-tailed Towhee last two days
Rode Island Grove to 35th Ave segment of trail. As you travel west on trail
to first north curve there is large gravel pit on north draining where a
lot of activity was happening. A bunch of dead carp so I assume the Bald
Eagles, gulls will b
I did my "Birding by Bike" from Island Grove to Dog Park on 59th-about
10 miles round trip. A total of 40 species seen (in order of
appearance). Hightlights have asterisk. The recreational fishery
which once was 35th Ave Gravel Pond East is having fencing removed all
around the gravel pit which
"Probably better to have used a kayak" ...
We started out at Island Grove Park and headed west to 25th Ave (trail
from 25th to 35th (blocked) has two large pumps pumping water from the
extremely high 35th Ave gravel ponds (east one) into the already high
