I have been so pleased to have two male and at least one female
Black-Chinned Hummingbird at my feeder in west Longmont! They add a
wonderful variety of Rufous and Broad-tails that are my normal summer
visitors.
Last Saturday, a Red-tail Hawk landed in my neighbors' tree behind my
house.

I have noticed several e-mails going around lately about sightings of
Black-Chinned Hummers. Are they not considered common? I have had one or two
(last weekend I had two) at my feeders every year since 2003 (Chatfield
