There is a Bobwhite calling in my neighborhood in Boulder Cty. I heard it
twice two nights ago and again both yesterday and this morning.
Location - from downtown Lyons
take Hwy 36 towards RMNP
turn left on the first Apple Valley Road
turn left on Antelope Dr
drive to the end of the road

Northern Bobwhite has been present at Rabbit Mountain, very near your
sighting, pretty much continuously since 7/1. The bird I've seen there is an
adult male, possibly an Eastern type. I could hear it calling today while
hiking the Eagle Wind trail on the Eastern side of RM
