This morning, Lynda Kithil and I were walking west along the path from the 75th St. parking lot just south of where 75th crosses Boulder Creek (this is north of Cottonwood marsh). We saw a Broad-winged Hawk being chased out of the woods along the creek by several C. Grackles. It circled nicely in the open so that we could see all field marks. The hawk was first seen by John Vanderpoel and I late yesterday afternoon.
I also heard an Eastern Phoebe call about six times near the 75th St. bridge but never saw the bird. It is conceivable that the call could have been made by a starling.
