I am planning a trip to the Buena Vista area tomorrow to search for the Caracara even though it has not been seen for 5 days. We will meet at 6 am at the Park and Ride on I 70 and Highway 26 exit 259 at the southeast corner. Be prepared for a full day. We will cruise roads starting from the hatchery.
For those coming from Pueblo or Colorado Springs we will meet at the intersection of US 285 and Road 162 south of Buena Vista and just south of Nathrop. There is a small pulloff on 162 just west of 285. If you want to meet in Denver, please email me so I know you will be there. I will check email before I leave. From further south, you can leave me a text on cell 303-917-2596. Anyone who is coming from south might contact Duane Nelson as he is considering going.
