Today, however, I took my new scope out to Chatfield for a quick spin. Wasn’t
very birdy today, but of note was a juvenile gull with long win

Chatfield is loaded with birds... mostly grebes, ducks and lots of gulls. I
happened to see some gulls being chased around by a juvi jaeger. I was at the
heron overlook and the bird was half a mile away, so I drove to the fisherman's
pier. The jaeger was floating about 100 yds. out wh
The pair of Eastern Phoebes at the Plum Creek footbridge have been there since
mid-April. They have a nest underneath the east side of the bridge and have
been carrying food to the nest for several weeks. I suspect little Eastern
Phoebes will fledge any day! As far as I know, this is the firs
