Hi COBirders,

Nancy Gobris, RMBO, opened the CBR banding station for the season,
this morning. As expected this early, not too many captures - about
15 total, but a few good early discoveries. While it is starting to
green-up after the moisture, this week has been pretty hot for April -
and most bird activity was done by about 11:00.

  Highlights:
banded many local Robins, mostly males, and some recaptures from
previous years
saw a male Myrtle Warbler above the station
banded a male Audubon's Warbler, saw possibly a second one
Banded a RC Kinglet,
banded two Hermit Thrush
banded single FOY House Wren
banded several Gambel's White-crowned Sparrows

observed on the ranch Am Kestrel, Turkey Vulture, RT Hawk, Ferruginous
Hawk, Wilson's Snipe, Say's Phoebe, lotsa W Meadowlark, Horned Lark.

Plans for the rest of this week are to be open Th, F , Sat..
