Just saw a Clay-colored Sparrow in my sunflower patch in the garden! This is the first time I have seen this sparrow species on the west slope! They are much rarer on this side of the state.
I have had a Merlin by the river in my backyard the past three days and still have a Calliope Hummingbird (loves my wife's flowers) around too.
