Bent County:
--Duane Nelson reported red Fox Sparrow and Red-belllied Woodpecker visited
his feeders on November 6.  Birders are welcome if you contact him first.
 His e-mail is dnelson1 AT centurytel.net  On November 7, Nelson reported
Fox and Harris's Sparrows at his feeders.
On November 9, Nelson reported that the red Fox Sparrow, Harris's Sparrow
and Red-bellied Woodpecker continue to visit his feeders.
--Duane Nelson reported from Adobe Creek Reservoir (Blue Lake) at the S end
3 American Golden-Plovers, and 3 Dunlin on November 7.
Drive W from CR 10 on CR UU to dam and drive approximately 1 m N on 2 track
to edge S of lake.

Boulder County:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Nunes at Boulder Reservoir on November 4
and relocated by Kaempfer on November 7.
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by Nunes along Boulder Creek W of 75th St on
November 4 and relocated by Kaempfer on November 7.
--A male Northern Cardinal visited the feeders at the home of Thomas
Heinrich during the morning of November 11.  Please call him at
303-475-0465if you would like to try to see the bird.
--An ad male Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Floyd at Baseline Reservoir
in Boulder on November 12.
--Chris Owens reported that the DFO field trip found a pair of Common
Redpolls at McIntosh Lake on November 11 around noon.

Chaffee County:
--At Ice Lake in Buena Vista on November 10, Nick Moore reported 2
White-winged Scoters and 20 Barrow's Goldeneyes.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--On November 8 at Chatfield SP, Walbek reported MEW GULL and Harris's
Sparrow.  The gull was on the marina tires and the sparrow was 150 yards
east of parking lot along Highline Canal Ditch.
--On November 11 at Chatfield SP Walbek reported Red Phalarope, Lesser
Black-backed Gull, Harris's Sparrow, Lapland Longspur and Stachowiak
reported Pacific Loon and Rusty Blackbird.

El Paso County:
--A m Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Mark Peterson at Big Johnson on
November 9.
--A juv Sabine's Gull was reported by Pals at Quail Lake in Colorado
Springs on November 10.  It was near the shore near the parking lot.
--At Fountain Creek Regional Park on November 10, Pals reported ad Harris's
Sparrow at the nature center feeders, White-throated Sparrow near the
Culvert at Duckwood Road Parking Lots, and Swamp Sparrow by the bridge in
NW end of nature center pond.  On November 11 at Fountain Creek RP, Gloria
Nikolai reported White-throated Sparrow and Harris's Sparrow.  They were W
of the Gazebo.


Huerfano County:
--A Common Redpoll has been visiting the feeders at the Neldners in La Veta
since November 10.  If you would like to try to see it please contact Polly
at pollywren AT gmail.com.

Jefferson County:
--A Common Redpoll was reported by Breitsch at Golden Gate Canyon SP at
Ralston Roost Picnic Area on November 7.
--Breitsch reported on November 12 that the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW
continues at Red Rocks Trading Post.

Lake County:
--Nick Moore reported Barrow's Goldeneyes at Mt Elbert Forebay on November
10.

Larimer County:
--An AMERICAN WOODCOCK was reported by Rashid at the Sanctuary on the W
side of Lake Estes on November 7.
--Common Redpolls were reported by Judie Wright on November 8 at Lily Lake
in Rocky Mt NP and Rashid refound 21 of them at 4:30 pm on the S side of
the trail that goes around the lake.  On November 9, Pautsch relocated the
Common Redpolls on the S end of the lake.  Stay near the small bridge and
watch for movement near the bridge.  On November 10, Starrett reported that
the Common Redpolls had moved to the N side of the lake towards the west
end near water's edge.  On November 12, Henwood reported that the Common
Redpolls were on the S side of the lake near the footbridge.
--A juv gull was found by Rashid at Lake Estes on November 10.  It is at
the W end of the lake N of fire station.  It can be seen from the parking
area along the S side of the lake.  There has been discussion on its
identity and it appears to be a Glaucous-wing X ? Hybrid.
--A juv GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW has been visiting the yard of Sean Walters
in South Loveland since November 10.  If you
would like to try for the bird please contact him at waltersintherockies AT
gmail.com.

Lincoln County:
--A pair of Common Redpolls was reported by Mark Peterson at Kinney Lake
SWA on November 12.

Montrose County:
--Black Rosy-Finches and Brown-capped Rosy-Finches were reported by Amber
Carver at the gas station in Cimarron on November 12.
The birds were feeding around the pumps.

Park County:
--At Antero Reservoir on November 8, Heinrich reported Pacific Loon and m
Barrow's Goldeneye.

Philllips County:
--Common Redpolls were reported by Art Dahl in SW Phillips County on
Novmeber 9.  They were feeding in dry sunflower patches in the vicinity of
CO 59 and CR 4 about 1 mile north of the Yuma County line.

Prowers County:
--At Thurston Reservoir on November 5, Leatherman reported 1 Dunlin.  On
November 7, Leatherman reported at Thurston that the Dunlin continues and
has been joined by an imm Thayer's Gull.
--3 White-winged Doves were reported by Leatherman in Lamar at 1st St &
Paseo Place in the NW Corner in a tree with lots of seeds on November 9.

Pueblo County:
--A Pine Warbler was reported by Percival at Pueblo City Park W of the pond
on November 7.
--At Pueblo Reservoir on November 8 Percival reported Red-throated Loon and
Pacific Loon seen from North Picnic Road Loop.  On November 9, Percival
refound the Red-throated Loon looking S from North Picnic Road Loop.

Routt County:
--3 Common Redpolls were reported by Craig Dodson at Stagecoach Reservoir
on November 11.

Summit County:
--Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Nick Moore at Dillon Reservoir on
November 10.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, November 17 will be to Roxborough State
Park led by Doris Cruze (303-798-8072).  Meet the leader at 0800 at the
Visitor's Center for a 3.5 mile walking tour on an easy trail.
 Participants should see golden eagles and species common in the foothills.
State Parks Pass required.  Lunch will be optional but there is a beautiful
place to sit on the patio and watch the birds as you eat lunch.  Take S.
Wadsworth Blvd, past Chatfield SP to Waterton Rd on left.  Take Waterton Rd
1.5 miles east to North Rampart Range Rd.  Turn right and go south 2.3
miles to Roxborough Park Rd.  Turn left and follow signs to the park (2.2
miles).  This is an excellent trip for novice birders and new members.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, November 18 will be to Denver City Park led
by Chuck Hundertmark (303-604-0531).  Meet the leader at parking strip SW
of 22nd Ave just north of Ferril Lake.  From Colorado Blvd, turn west onto
22nd Ave, go past the Musuem of Nature and Science, Turn left just before
the zoo at the sign to the Pavilion Bandstand.  Park on the left at the end
of the parking area closest to Ferril Lake.  Will check the lakes for earyl
winter water birds and check tree to see what empty nests we can spot.  An
easy morning walk.  Bring water, snacks, two-way radios, binoculars and
scopes optional.  Half day trip.  Limit of 10 participants.  Call or e-mail
