*ARAPAHOE COUNTY:*

--On March 8, Walbek reported the following at Cherry Creek Reservoir:  1
ad MEW GULL, 1 1-st cyc ICELAND GULL, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (3 ad, 1
4th-cyc, 1 1-st cyc), 3 Glaucous Gulls (1 ad 1 4th-cyc, 1 2nd-cyc).  On
March 10, Mlodinow reported the following at Cherry Creek Reservoir:  1
1st-cyc ICELAND GULL, 3 Glaucous Gulls (1 ad, 1 2nd-cyc, 1 1st-cyc), 12
Lesser Black-backed Gulls (4 ad/subad, 1 2nd-cyc, 7 1-st cyc), 12 Thayer's
Gulls (4 ad, 1 2nd-cyc, 7 1st-cyc).


*BENT COUNTY:*

--On March 1, Linda Groat reported HOARY REDPOLL coming to her feeder in
eastern Bent County.  Please contact her at towhee1 At live.com for
details.  Leatherman reported that the HOARY REDPOLL was seen on March 2 by
many birders.  Groat reported on March 10 that the HOARY REDPOLL continues
to come to her feeder.


    *BOULDER COUNTY:*
--9 Tundra Swans were reported by Hundertmark at Walden Ponds on March 2.
 Kaempfer reported 3 Tundra Swans at Valmont Reservoir on March 2.  On
March 5, Rynes reported 12 Tundra Swans at Cottonwood Marsh.  On March 6,
Waltman reported 12 Tundra Swans at Walden Ponds and 12 Tundra Swans at
Clover Basin Reservoir near Longmont.  On March 9, Kaempfer reported 12
Tundra Swans at Walden Ponds.
--A calling Chihuahuan Raven was reported by Hansley in Louisville on March
7.
--Kaempfer reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW has returned to the
Teller Farm parking lot on March 9.  On March 10, Mark Miller reported
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and Harris's Sparrow at the N trailhead to Teller
Farm.
--On March 12, Waltman reported 7 Bohemian Waxwings at NE end of Sage
Valley Rd.  Directions:  Take US 36 north out of Boulder towards Lyons,
before Lefthand Canyon Dr, turn right (East) on Plateau Rd.  Sage Valley is
first left (North) turn.

*DELTA COUNTY:*
--8 Tundra Swans were reported by Horn at Fruitgrowers Reservoir (also know
as Hart's Basin) on March 5.  On March 6, Fenton
looked for the Tundra Swans at Fruitgrowers Reservoir but did not find
them.  But she found 8 Tundra Swans on a pond across G50 Rd from Escalante
SWA, Hamilton tract on March 6.  On March 10, Rick Harner reported 2 swans
at Hart's Basin.  On March 10, Robinsong reported a swan at Escalante SWA
at G50 Rd.  On March 11, Robinsong reported 2 swans at Fruitgrowers
Reservoir.
On March 12, Horn reported 3 Tundra Swans at Hart's Basin.

*DENVER COUNTY:*
--At Marston Reservoir on March 12, Tina Jones reported 1 ad Lesser
Black-backed Gull, and 2 Thayer's Gulls (1 ad, 1 1-st cyc).

*EL PASO COUNTY:*
--A Varied Thrush was reported by Bonestroo at Kettle Lake #1 at the Air
Force Academy on March 15.  The bird was W of the lake.

*FREMONT COUNTY:*
--Moss reported Bohemian Waxwings feeding on insects at Holcim Wetlands on
March 6.  Early on March 7 Percival briefly refound the
Bohemian Waxwings near the Arkansas River on N side of wetlands.  Later on
March 7 Moss found 2 Bohemian Waxwings feedng on Russian Olives off the
trail.  On March 9, Chartier found 1 Bohemian Waxwing on the N side at
Holcim Wetlands.
--A Rusty Blackbird was reported by Hinds at Holcim Wetlands on March 8.

*GRAND COUNTY:*
--In Kremmling on March 12, Filby reported 10 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches, 1
Black Rosy-Finch, and 25 Common Redpolls.
--At a subdivision by CO 9 at S end of county (entrance road is names
Spring Creek Road) 100+ Rosy-Finches including at least 5 Brown-capped were
reported by Filby on March 12.

*JACKSON COUNTY:*
--In Walden on March 12, Filby reported 60 Common Redpolls and 10
Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches.

*JEFFERSON COUNTY:*

-- The GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW at the Red Rocks Trading Post, first reported
by Henwood on Oct 26 and present all winter, was seen again on March 11 by
Henwood.
--Common Redpolls were reported by Commercon on the East Ridge of the
Dinosur Ridge Hawk Watch on March 10.

  *LARIMER COUNTY:*

--The flock of redpolls continues to be seen behind the Discovery Museum in
Fort Colllins, located at Cherry and Mason St which is the NW corner of
College and Cherry.   Tina Jones reported on March 10 that 23 redpolls
including one HOARY continue behind the Discovery Museum.

--A m PURPLE FINCH was reported by Sean Walters on the Larimer Campus of
Front Range Community College on March 11.

--A Varied Thrush has been visiting the back yard feeders of Ken Allen in
Fort Collins since Jan 20.  His address is 1710 Ticonderoga Dr.  Please
call first home:  970-225-0988  or cell:  970-443-8093.

--A mixed flock of waxwings was reported by Gaines by US Bank in Loveland
on Buchanan Ave and 29th on March 12.  There were a few Bohemians with the
Cedar Waxwings.


*MORGAN COUNTY:*

--A Tundra Swan was reported by Mlodinow at Jackson Reservoir on March 13.
 It is best viewed from the SWA on the N side.

--4 White-throated Sparrows were reported by Mlodinow near the intersection
of Bijou Creek and the South Platte River near Fort Morgan on March 13.


*PITKIN COUNTY:*

--At Snowmass on March 13, Filby reported 50 Brown-capped Rosy-Finches and
2 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches.


*PUEBLO COUNTY:*

--At Chico Basin Ranch (fee area), Drummond reported 3 Rusty Blackbirds at
Rose Pond on March 14.


*SUMMIT COUNTY:*

--At Silverthorne on March 12, Filby reported 15 Barrow's Goldeneyes and
150+ Rosy-Finches.


  *WELD COUNTY:*

--2 Red-necked Grebes were reported by Sheeter at Firestone Gravel pits on
the pond closest to Hwy 119 on March 1.  Kibbe refound the 2 Red-necked
Grebes at Firestone Gravel pits on March 14.

--Mlodinow reported on March 5 that the Long-tailed Duck continues at
Frederick Rec Area.  Kibbe relocated the Long-tailed Duck at Frederick Rec
Area on March 14.

--An ad Thayer's Gull was reported by Dowell at Union Reservoir on March 6.
 Mlodinow reported an ad Thayer's Gull at Union Reservoir on March 10.

--At Windsor Lake on March 7, Mlodinow reported imm Lesser Black-backed
Gull and Thayer's Gull.

--15 Tundra Swans and 1 Trumpeter Swan were reported by Wild in Nunn on
March 11.  The location is on CR 108 between CR 31 and CR 33.  On March 12,
Leatherman reported 16 Tundra Swans at the pond N of Nunn and he heard
Lapland Longspurs while viewing the swans on CR 108 E of CR 31.

--At Black Hollow Reservoir on March 12, Komar reported an ad Lesser
Black-backed Gull, 1 sub ad Great Black-backed Gull, and

1 mystery Gull.  At Black Hollow Reservoir on March 13, Mlodinow reported 5
Lesser Black-backed Gulls (3 ad, 1 sub ad, 1 1-st cyc), 1 ad Thayer's Gull,
1 ad MEW GULL, and 1 ad Glaucous Gull.


The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, March 16 will be to Walden Ponds in
 Boulder led by Paula Hansley (H: 720-890-2628, C:303-912-2341).  Meet the
leader at 0800 at Cottonwood Marsh parking lot at Walden Ponds in Boulder
County.  Bird until about 11:00.  Walden is accessed from a short road
which goes west from 75th St 0.9 mi north of Valmont Rd.  Will look at
ducks and early migrants on ponds and in woods in both Walden and Sawhill
areas.  Will look for Dippers and other birds along  Boulder Creek near
75th St.  Bring a scope if you have one, along with snacks, water, and warm
clothes.


The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, March 17 will be to Cherry Creek State Park
led by Cheryl Teuton and Dan Brooke (303-912-2341).  Meet the leaders at
the west side marina at 0800.  From I-225 and Yosemite, go S on Yosemite to
Union Ave and turn E onto Union, go

by Cherry Creek High School and follow Union to the park entrance, then
take W Lake View Rd to the marina.  State Parks pass and $3 fee required.
 This trip will be mostly driving but there will be some walking on level
trails.  Bring a lunch and after lunch there will be a walk at Twelve Mile
picnic area.
