On Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 4:50 pm, Terry Cookro and I saw a Common Nighthawk as it flew across highway 50 in front of the car. We were about 10 miles east of Gunnison.
This seems like a late sighting, perhaps due to the warm weather and lack of a major cold front in September.
