The Curve-billed Thrasher has made brief appearances

at the Red Rocks Trading Post thrice today. In addition
to the 0730 sighting posted early by Cole Wild, Dick Schottler
was among a group that saw it for about a minute at 9:40 AM,
but it was not seen again until Bob Brown spotted it at 11:25, when it put in a
brief appearance under the more eastern of the two feeders.

Viewing is best from the balcony, entered through the front (north)
door of the trading post. From that elevated perch both feeders can be seen
well,
and there is less risk of bothering birds at the feeders. The Golden-
crowned and White-throated Sparrows made brief visits to the
ground under the west feeder.
