The Dunlin survived the recent cool weather. It was feeding on a gravel bar
in the mist this morning just
downstream from the squat green and white tank, along the S Platte River
between
74th and 88th northeast of Denver. It was near the small check dam in the
river.
Use caution by portaging around this dam if you approach in a boat or kayak.
Peligro, as the sign says.

A Harris's Sparrow was at a feeder at the Old Stone House, which is one of
Rocky Mountain
Bird Observatory's offices and is near Barr Lake. From I-76 take the Bromley
Lane exit,
go east a short distance, turn right just past the railroad
tracks onto Lark Bunting Lane and follow this Lane south until it ends at
the Old Stone House.
