Yesterday late afternoon I went out on the Niwot Loop trail south of Monarch Road into the open space. There was a small flock of about 6-8 eastern bluebirds in the trees along the creek. I asked them nicely if they would consider sticking around a month until the Longmont CBC, as that is an area I usually count. We’ll see! They seemed to be feeding on something in the trees; there were also some robins in the same trees.
