Breeding records for Barrow’s Goldeneye are scarce in Colorado, but do exist.
There were a few observations during both the first and second Colorado
Breeding Bird Atlas field periods, all in northwestern Colorado, at least one
of them in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area.

They look like duckling goldeneyes. Barrow's Goldeneye nests there at
Trapper's.
