Arrived early and spread some seed at Red Rocks Trading Post. Just before
7 a.m. the juncos started appearing. In the short site I was there the
Golden-crowned Sparrow and adult White-throated Sparrow appeared, along
with 4 Song Sparrows, 3 Spotted Towhees, Black-capped and Mountain
Chickadees, a
The Golden-crowned Sparrow was seen again at 11:15am. It looks like this guy
(assuming it's the same bird) is going to winter at Red Rocks for the third
straight year! Photos can be seen in the uncommon and rare gallery below.

Cobirders,
The Golden-crowned Sparrow put in a brief appearance at about 0945 this
morning.
Bird activity at the Trading Post has shifted to the feeder to the east and
that's where I saw the Golden-crowned.
