I had a catbird in my yard this morning. I got some photos from my phone. Feel
free to try for him/her. The bird was around the juniper tree and I put out
water, which the bird immediately came to. Feel free to text or call for
directions though I’ll be in a job from 9-10 and can’t answer then.
Birders,
I just had a Gray Catbird at my water feature in the yard. I've never had
one in the winter. Maybe it will be around for count week or even count
day.

I was happy to read that the Conservancy bird banding group found several
gray catbirds at Chatfield. At home, about 10 miles south of Chatfield, I
have been hearing burbling, mimicry and mewing in the scrub oak clumps, but
could not see who it was. First catbird in 15 years of living here!

The first time I’ve seen a Gray Catbird in my Louisville yard! Yesterday
morning and again this morning. It came to the bird bath for a drink and a bath
yesterday and just a drink today because a flicker flew in and spooked it.

I heard a late *Gray Catbird* call a few times when I was out just after
sunset this evening. It was on the slope of Lee Gulch upstream of the main
area of Lower Ridgewood Park, in Littleton. A *Spotted Towhee* called at
the same time, piping up at dusk, maybe questioning the catbird. Quite a few*
I have a late-to-leave Gray Catbird in my yard in east-central Denver, just
off East Colfax about 4 miles from downtown. Definitely a new yard bird,
and a surprise to see around here, even in an unseasonable snowstorm.

A calling Gray Catbird was found in the bushes between Waneka Reservoir and

Throughout the day yesterday and today there has been a Gray Catbird
visiting the food bowls in the Crane yard at Denver Zoo. The bird has been
hanging out with a group of Robins that come down to feed when ever the
Cranes move away from their food.

After a strong thunderstorm with some small hail and lot of rain I was
delighted with a mini-fallout of neotropical birds (plus my neighborhood
catbirds): a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak and 2 male Black-headed
Grosbeak; 4+ Yellow-rumped Warblers (more than I have seen on our Riverwalk
all week);

This morning, I got a call from Daren Obrien that he was at the Wheat Ridge
Greenbelt looking for the Winter Wren, and he found a Gray Catbird in the same
area. I joined him (after getting a speeding ticket) and was able to see the
