Good day all!

I'm a little behind on getting this post out but thought I'd write it
nonetheless. I tried on Tuesday to re-find the previously posted Pacific
Loon and Red-necked Grebe at the Rawhide Power Plant. That was the really
windy day and it turned out to be a really silly thing to do. I lasted
about twenty minutes and threw in the towel without seeing either bird due
to the wind and shimmer. I returned yesterday (Thursday) and re-found the
Red-necked Grebe along the dam on the east side but no Pacific Loon. I did
find one female Barrow's Goldeneye. Also of note were about 3 dozen
Canvasback and thousands of Mallards. Also on Tuesday I found one male
Barrow's Goldeneye at Timnath Res. I also found the Mew Gull at Douglas
yesterday around 230pm and then headed to see the two Dunlin at Lake
Loveland around 4pm as well as the continuing Lesser Black-backed Gull and
one Thayer's Gull (maybe the same one that Chavez posted?). Rawhide Power
Plant, Douglas, and Lake Loveland all still have Western Grebes hanging
around in small numbers. Lake Loveland still had 4 Am. White Pelicans as
well.

Good Birding all!
