This morning,(730-9)a "white" Little Blue Heron was perched on an island in the northwest corner of Lake Beckwith, Colorado City, SW Pueblo County. This bird may be one of two we observed at Huerfano Lake 5-14-11. But its dusky primaries were not always as visible as the Huerfano birds, and looked more like a juvenile than a 1st spring calico type bird. The bird at Lake Beckwith is a 1st Colorado City record. Other area birds of interest include: 1 Hammond's Flycatcher 5-14-11 Rye Mountain Park 1 Bank Swallow 5-15-11 Lake Beckwith 1 N. Waterthrush 5-14-11 Rye Trout Farm 1 adult male Rose-breasted Grosbeak & Indigo Bunting at my feeders in Rye 5-14-11 Dave Silverman Rye CO
