The Fort Collins Audubon Society field trip today, led by John Vanderpoel, 
founds lots of good birds. Highlights included:
Bald Eagle – 10 (Union Reservoir)
Red-necked Grebe – 2 (Firestone Gravel Pits)
Greater Scaup - 2+ (Firestone Gravel Pits)
Long-tailed Duck – 1 (Frederick Recreation Area – Milavec Lake) 
Greater White-fronted Goose – 1 Prince Lake #2
Black-crowned Night-Heron – 1 (Valmont complex)
Tundra Swan – 6 (Walden Ponds)
White-winged Dove – 1 (Gunbarrel)
Long-eared Owl (Private residence)
Trumpeter Swan – 1 (North Hoffman Lake, Loveland)
Sage Thrasher – 1 (South Hoffman Lake, Loveland, hopping on a residential lawn 
like a robin)
Bohemian Waxwing – 2 (Denver Ave, Loveland, between Eisenhauer and 1st)

The field trip for tomorrow (a fundraiser for FCAS) will visit points from 
Loveland north. Trumpeter Swan, Long-eared Owls and Varied Thrush are expected, 
and who knows what else. There are seats available in the van. Contact me
