Stopped by Lagerman Reservoir in Longmont again this evening to look for
more migratory excitement.  Nothing notable, but one of the Osprey there
seems to have a large bundle of orange string/filament caught on its right
leg.  This is presumably the male, since its mate was on the nest platform.
I'm doubtful anything can be done to help free him of the string since he
seems quite mobile; I watched as he caught a fish, devoured it, and
proceeded to the shoreline for some post-dinner bathing.  But I thought I'd
mention it here just in case.

At any rate, when I'm in that area, I'll certainly keep watching him for
signs of distress.
