After dropping my wife off at DIA I decided to check out the new open space
in Denver, First Creek at DEN Open Space. At around 3pm 1.2 miles north on
Buckley where the power lines cross the road I found a western *Palm
Warbler* in the large Cottonwood east of the road with a flock of *House
Finch* and *American Tree Sparrows*. I continued on to the 2 mile mark and
on the return trip I did not see the Palm Warbler again, but I did not
spend much time looking.

I also found a *Harris Sparrow* east of the light rail track in the trees
next to the creek.
