The afternoon Pueblo Reservoir loon count, with the excellent viewing
conditions (cloudy and not windy) was one Red-throated Loon (also seen by
Margie Joy), one Pacific Loon, and 11 Common Loons.  Margie and I also saw a
light morph Rough-legged Hawk at West Fisherman's Point.  Other waterfowl on
the lake included a couple of Red-breasted Mergansers, a male Common Goldeneye,
and some Buffleheads.  As my other post said, the Red-throated and the Pacific
Loon were seen out from North Picnic Road loop, looking south.  This location
on the North Side of the Reservoir, west of Sailboard launching area, close to
Juniper Breaks Campground.  I like this viewing location in the afternoon, or
when it is cloudy, as you can view a lot of the middle of the reservoir from
here.  When it is sunny, the morning light, isn't very good.
