Opened nets under cool grey skies this morning. After 2 hours and 7 birds,
it started to sprinkle so we closed up. As we headed out, the drizzle
stopped and it cleared up a bit, but we could see dark grey in the west,
and, given the slowness of bird activity, we decided to call it a day. Our
5 first captures (the other 2 birds were birds we'd banded earlier this
year) were:

House Wren 1 return, banded 5/27/11

Orange-crowned Warbler 1

Song Sparrow 1

Lincoln's Sparrow 1

White-crowned Sparrow, Gambels 1

Tomorrow promises to be more of the same weather; we'll likely be making an
early morning decision about whether to open.

And, again, just a REMINDER: We will be CLOSED Friday and Saturday, then
open starting Sunday through June 2.
