Birders,
I found a Red Phalarope today on the south end of Adobe Creek Reservoir

This afternoon I found a couple of phalaropes at Lagerman, one Red-necked and
the other looking a lot like a Red.
Side by side comparisons were especially useful in analyzing the markings to
support the ID of the Red Phalarope, as were discussions with friends and
fellow birders.
For all the folks that were able to see the suspected Red Phalarope I would
love your thoughts on how you came to your ID. I have reviewed multiple
pictures and have a hard time making an ID one way or the other.

On the evening of Sept. 27th Carolyn and I found a Red Phalarope on McPhee
Reservoir (Montezuma County). We were out messing around in a boat, luckily
had binos, but no camera. The site was walking distance, 1/2-3/4 mile to NW
across mudflats, from McPhee marina. On the morning of the 28th, Erik
Bill Maynard and I found Chico Basin Ranch's first RED PHALAROPE on a stock
tank pond in El Paso County. We also saw a Philadelphia Vireo at Bell
