Hi Joe and cobirders,

Sorry for the lack of details in the earlier post.  Your interpretation was
correct.  The roadrunner was above the road about halfway up the hill to
the top of the ridge on the rocky side, not the grassy slope below the
road.  We saw the bird for about 15 minutes before we lost it higher up on
the ridge.  The bird was working its way down the rocky area from the
hairpin turn to the small parking lot on the west side of Alameda.  There
were 6 of us who got to see the bird during this appearance. Tuesday
Birders had gone to Dinosaur Ridge to see the Roadrunner, but most of the
group had left before the bird appeared.  The bird was mostly foraging and
did a little sunning.   We lost sight of the bird before it got to the
second set of displays starting from the small parking lot. We saw the bird
from approximately 2:20 till 2:35 pm.
