Since we had a skiff of snow last night, I put some seed out early ( I
was back home by 8 am) and had approximately 10 Rosy-Finches show up
at the feeders behind the Red Rocks Trading Post. There were two
Black Rosy-Finches (one adult & one immature) among the small flock of
Gray

On account of the cold and slight skiff of snow, after returning from
the Western Slope this afternoon, I went to put out some seed at the
feeders behind the Red Rocks Trading Post. To my surprise when I

Good morning All,
The flock of 50-60 Rosy-Finches returned to the feeders behind the Red
Rocks Trading Post again this morning. All the species represented -
mostly Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches with some Hepburn's, a number of
Brown-capped Rosy-Finches, and a few Black Rosy-Finches. By 8:00
When I arrived at the Red Rocks feeders about 7:00 a.m., there was a
flock of Rosy-Finches - my guess is 50+. They stayed around until the
sun hit the feeders, and then took off. At least we have a pretty
good idea that the Rosy's are using Red Rocks to roost. Took my dog
