About 830, just before the wind started howling, there were 6 immature sabines
from the sand spit. For once I had a stiff tailwind to push me home on the
bike. 😂 There have been 5-6 Sabine’s daily for a few days now. Fun birds!

Hello all-
There is currently a Sabine's Gull at Chatfield SP. We are viewing it from
the sandpit, but it is pretty much in the middle of the lake, around the
Douglas/Jefferson County line. It is super windy, so the scope was having a
hard time with the wind.
Good birding!

not see any phalaropes. I heard there was a report of a Caspian Tern
I was lucky to spot this Sabine's Gull floating to the East of the Marina
Sandspit this afternoon. Also had a chance to see it flying and view the
distinctive "M" wing pattern. Also saw Common Terns.

Thanks to everyone's observations and directions as to finding the Sabine's
gulls, I was able to find them today without any problem. I saw three of them.
(Life bird!) They were easy to find off the sand spit near the marina. They
were so easy to identify that it makes me wonder if they could tr
