Several people have e-mailed me for more precise directions to view the
shorebirds in the Falcon-Peyton area;
>From Colorado Springs, take Hwy 24 (also called Platte Avenue in Colo Spgs)
>and go east past Peterson Air Force Base until Judge Orr Rd.
Make a hard left (north-northwest); in a very short distance, there will be a
four-way stop; Lambert Rd is the second right after the four-way stop; go north
on Lambert
>From Lambert, go east on Fishers Island to the end; turn left (north) and park
>in the cul-de-sac. From there, go west on the sidewalk along the drainage
>stream; proceed quietly as the birds spook easily.
Most birds have been on the east side of Lambert Rd; some can be seen on the
west side of Lambert.

You can also park on the north-west corner of the big pond off Stapleton Rd.
Then walk furher along the drainage towards the west.
I hope that helps.
