Hi all-
Birded Sterne Park hoping for perhaps Wood Duck to add to my year list (no
luck). However, the park has several Austrian Pines, and they were covered in
sap wells. Due to the size, amount, and spacing, it is the unmistakable work of
a sapsucker. I think it being the metro area in winter, Yellow bellied is the
most likely. Nothing big, I just wanted to share because in CO Yellow billed
Sapsuckers are always a bit of a treat, but, also, since I was unable to find
the actual bird, I wanted anyone who birds this park to be on the lookout.
