Hi all,

This morning, I was at the North Shore Marina at Pueblo Reservoir, and heard
something I hadn't heard before in Colorado.  It was a male Long-tailed Duck
that was "singing".  I've heard this "song" on their breeding grounds in Alaska
and on CDs and tapes, and it is very loud and distinctive.  Does anyone know
how often they "sing" in the winter?  I'm guessing since they are so common in
the Northeastern United States in winter, they would "sing" more regularly than
they would in Colorado, where they aren't so common.
