you can also get to South Platte reservoir off of Wadsworth by going east
on Chatfield Avenue. Chatfield is the first light north of C 470 on
Wadsworth.
when you come to the 4 way stop where the exit off of C 470 is as described
by Joe Roller, you can pick up his directions from there.

Go west on C-470 across the South Platte River. Other routes are less
viable.
Go north at the first exit west of that river, which is South Platte Canyon
Road.
Proceed north for about 1/3 mile and turn right onto South Depew
Street, wh
Cobirders have sent multiple reports about South Platte (Canyon?) Reservoir but
I haven't noticed any posts that tell where it is. CFOs County Birding site
does not mention it.
Perhaps someone could post the location and how to get there?
