Was 0/4 on target species yesterday (didn't get Joe's response until I got home) and had a pretty slow day. Highlights were: 6 Barrow's Goldeneyes at the Silverthorne Water Treatment Facility 1 Rough-legged Hawk over Dillon Res (and presumably the same bird relocated on the Blue River a short distance away 30 min later)
I had 17 species for the day (zero finches). I'll have to try Elk Thistle Drive next Saturday. Couldn't find any Ptarmigan at Loveland pass. Would these be in that area in winter? Is Vail pass (in Eagle County) worth checking? Also, the south end of Dillon Res in Frisco was frozen over if anyone is birding Summit county using http://www.coloradocountybirding.com/county/bird_a_county.php?name=Summit And currently isn't worth the drive from Silverthorne Bill Blackburn Broomfield, Co -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
