Friday afternoon, I spotted 2 Turkey Vultures circling over the southwest section of the Golden Ponds path in Longmont (Boulder County).
Yesterday, I hiked with friends up to the quartz quarry in Pike National Forest, above the Tarryall Rive (Park County). The hike up produced Mountain and Black-capped Chickadees, Pygmy Nuthatches, and Stellar's Jay. But, when we got back to the parking lot, we were treated with one male Mountain Bluebird. Driving back to Hwy 24, we spotted several more bluebirds on the phone lines and flitting down into the pastures.
