I arrived at Union about 45 minutes after the reported Little Gull. Unfortunately, many of us were unable to relocate the bird even though having birders positioned at various points around the lake. I finally put up the white flag around 4pm. I did have a wintering Vesper Sparrow near the SW observation deck with a group of Tree, Song, and White-crowned Sparrows. This might be of interest if the lake is covered by the Christmas Bird Count.
