Dear Cobirders,
Although variety was low, the actual number of Yellow-rumped Warblers
was enormous along the Boulder Creek path this afternoon. The best
concentration was around the ponds immediately west of Foothills at a place
called "The Confluence" (a big stone sign said so). This is near the location
where a huge fall-out of Clay-colored Sparrows was seen last May. I would bet
that whatever the Yellow-rumped Warblers are eating will be around for another
week, so this may be a good spot to check for rarities.

In addition to birding the creek path, Nathan Pieplow and I birded Twin Lakes
in Gunbarrel this morning. Not too much there, but I did find my FOS
Orange-crowned Warbler and a handful of Lincoln's Sparrows. Nathan rounded out
the Warblers with a FOS Common Yellowthroat and some Yellow-rumped Warblers.

Cheers,
Walter Szeliga
