At dawn today, a Western Tanager was foraging in my Washington Hawthorne
tree! I heard it’s distinctive call note.

Good Morning! We just had 2 male Western Tanagers on the jelly feeder. We
saw them over the weekend, too. No females yet. We have also seen 2 male
and 2 female Bullock's Orioles, and 2 male Black-headed Grosbeaks at the
feeders this last week or so.

Hello Fellow Birders, Just had a Western Tanager on the suet in my little
townhouse yard near Holy & Arapahoe in west Centennial. Based on Sibley's
drawings the bird wasn't in breeding plumage, which seems a little late. A few
minutes later a Chipping Sparrow was at the sunflower seed. Kee

Not as exciting as some swifts or vireos, but another welcome appearance at
home today - my first *Western Tanager* of the season was a male visiting a
suet feeder. He was dazzling.

My son and I were able to get a few pictures of a Western Tanager along the
highline canal in Littleton. We also saw some house wrens, wood ducks and
a baby fox. Lots of fun right out our back door.
