Today around 1:30 PM I ran across a singing White-winged Dove in the
Gunbarrel area of Boulder. It's probably one of the two birds that I've
seen occasionally around my apartment complex for the past 2-3 years, but
it was a good half-mile southeast of where I've seen them in the past (most

heard the species here once earlier this week, also in mid-afternoon, but
other than that I haven't been hearing it at all this spring or summer.

Gunbarrel's resident White-winged Dove (or one of them?) is singing
right outside my window right now. This is the first time I've heard
him here in a couple of months. It is likely the same bird that
Walter Szeliga reported a few days ago from a half-mile east of here,
but who knows?
