Late Monday afternoon, I spotted Wood Ducks in a little pond at the park across the street from Echter's Greenhouse on Garrison St. in Arvada. I thought there were 3 or 4 pairs until I studied my pictures and counted at least 6 pairs. This is only my second sighting, and the first was a pair in a canal near Kipling and 80th in Arvada. So I was thrilled. They were mixed in with Mallards, Geese, and Hooded Mergansers. Martha Jones, Arvada
